You might have seen a post or two about TaiG or at least may be familiar with the concept that it is used for jailbreaking iOS devices. TaiG is a tool that is available on the Windows platform and is used as a tool for jailbreaking iPhones. They have just come up with a way to jailbreak iOS 8.2 beta 1 and 2.

The first thing that you need to do is to install iTunes which you probably already have on your Windows machine. When you have done this the next step is to get TaiG 1.3.0 which you can download from here. After the download completes extract the files to your desktop.

For the next couple of steps shift to the device you intend to jailbreak. You need to restore the device to iOS 8.2 beta 2 which is officially for devs only. On your phone you need need to disable certain features, these include ‘Find My iPhone’, Touch ID and Passcode. Then launch Control Center by swiping up and turn on Airplane Mode on your phone. After all of this is done it is now time to connect your device to your PC.

Back on your PC you need to launch TaiG 1.3.0 and when it opens uncheck the box that is labelled ‘3K Assistant’. Click the Start button. In a couple of minutes your device will be jailbroken. When the process is completed and your device has rebooted disable the Airplane Mode that you had put your phone on. Launch Cydia to enjoy your jailbroken iOS 8.2 beta 2 device.

Well since this has become really popular Apple is bound to have noticed. As a result they may fix any vulnerabilities that have allowed for this on iOS 8.2 beta 2 before the stable release of iOS 8.2. This technique then might not work on the final release. So have fun with it while you can and do let us know what you thought about it after you are done. You can also discover a ton of great jailbreak tweaks on Cupertino Times.
